Weekly Photo Challenge; Up

I should say to myself “Welcome back to Weekly Photo Challenge”.
When I first joined WordPress I participated in them and then I stopped when I ran out of time (time management was not good at the beginning of my blogging experience). Now my blogging is slightly more organized and I am attempting to take part in the weekly challenges again. I am not really good at daily ones but maybe in the summer I will attempt an FMS photo a day challenge again.

The topic for this weeks photo challenge is UP.

I was sat at my desk when the light of the setting sun caught my eye. I automatically grabbed my camera and started shooting. There are many times when we should look up and be amazed at what we see. As the sun was setting I was amazed at the drastic changes in light especially the higher I looked into the sky. At the point of the sun setting it was fairly light but as I arched back the blackness of night was  just viable.

One of the things I really like about the image is the four planes that are streaking through the sky. My apartment is in the landing path for the airport and it is quite a nice touch.

The image is a HDR taken at +/-3 tops blended by hand in Photoshop emulating bleach by pass with low contrast with a film boarder.

Let me know how you feel about the image, positive or negative, using the comment box below.
