When it is hot and the flowers have just opened, bees come out to feed and make honey. Because they know we all want honey on our toast in the morning.
This image actually went through two procedures during its editing. The first one was in Camera Raw where I reduced the clarity, in other words reduced the midtone contrast, while bumping up the saturation.
The original shot already had a shallow depth of field. In Color Efex I exaggerated this using the vintage blur as well as adjustments to saturation.
In the end it is quite a dreamy image of fresh blossom being feed on by a bee.

Very soft and lovely – those little crisp bits of pink make the whole thing sing of spring!
