Pictorialism Inspired

I was listening to a talk about pictorialism in photography, as a bit of research for a series of posts. After listening to the talk I was editing this image and I think the speaker influenced me subconsciously.

picturesque-parkThe image is a refection of a pond at an angle. I didn’t have much of the background in the image so I flipped the shot and cropped out anything that was not a reflection. This added a strange stepping stone effect with the green lilypad type pond plant. The image was processed as a HDR and toned in Photoshop.
