I had some time to kill yesterday between classes. I headed to the local park to enjoy the rain interspersed with sun. This is quite an interesting place as it is next to the old town square and a modern shopping center complex. A road separates the park and marked on the pavement is a dotted line stating the boundaries of the city ghetto during the German occupation. The area around the park has an eclectic mix of architecture.
This is side view cutting across the what I believe is a wedding venue linked to a restaurant, it is all boarded up, chained and padlocked. The patio is full of weeds and cracked.
It makes me chuckle that the city is obsessed with creating the new center by building new modern complexes when they could rejuvenate over areas that where historically the center of the city.

Give it another 50 years when all this is gone and someone will start complaining about lack of heritage sites… then they will have to look at your photos!
