It sometimes feels that some photographic styles are so well known in the public mind that to use them can sometimes feel cheap. I am talking about lomography/vintage camera/cross processing. This is partly due to the Instagram generation. These stylings look good but do not suit all. What I like about cross processing is that you can shift the colours to enhance your subject.
In the case of this image the blossom was already pink, in using the cross processing I was able to shift all the colours towards the blossom pink to harmonize the tones. I did drop the saturation slightly to take the edge of the edges of the bokeh.
