Crossed Blossom

It sometimes feels that some photographic styles are so well known in the public mind  that to use them can sometimes feel cheap. I am talking about lomography/vintage camera/cross processing. This is partly due to the Instagram generation. These stylings look good but do not suit all. What I like about cross processing is that you can shift the colours to enhance your subject.

blossom-Pink-cross-processedIn the case of this image the blossom was already pink, in using the cross processing I was able to shift all the colours towards the blossom pink to harmonize the tones. I did drop the saturation slightly to take the edge of the edges of the bokeh.

Image processed in Camera Raw and selective sharpening in Photoshop.
