One of these days I will not wake up at 5am with nothing really to do. Well when I end up with not much to do, one of my favourite things to do is create images. The image I created yesterday was inspired by Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side Of The Moon” album cover. The main inspiration came from the prism and spectrum that was on the original album cover and then later updated for the 30th anniversary edition.
The image was created with custom shapes and layer styles as well. Work time was about 90 mins.

A great update on a classic!
Thanks, I wanted to add movement into the design making a feeling of being drawn into the centre in a similar way I get lost in the album and dot really recognise the change of tracks.
Still such a great album – amazing how some music gets better with age!
Very nice and inspiring album to recreate the cover art to. I hope you are able to sleep in tomorrow.
I actually did sleep today, my problem at the moment is that I need to change my sleeping pattern as it is the summer holidays and I have no classes to teach at 8.30. Today I slept till 7 and missed the cat knocking over a vase full of flowers.
