Taken from my Chess Series. The Queen is the most powerful piece on the board and is able to move an unlimited number of spaces in a straight line (Vertically, Horizontally and Diagonally). The Queen stands next to the King on its corresponding colour. In previous versions of chess the Queen was only able to move and take one space at a time, this rule was changes in the 15th century.
