I first shared one of these images on Thursday night during #blogphotochat on Twitter. These images were taken using extension tubes(13mm,21mm and 31 mm) with my 50mm prime. All were shot hand held at ISO 800.
I spent about an hour photographing this little lady bird, he was quite hypnotic and was moving around a lot. I was using f8, as it is the sweet spot on the lens although the DoF, with the extension tubes, was still really shallow it was enough to blur out the background and isolate the subject.
