Monochrome Madness; Swan

This is my contribution for this weeks Monochrome Madness challenge organised by Leanne Cole and Laura Macky. You can see Leanne’s main post here later today.

When taking this shot I was drawn to the symmetry of the swan and its reflection. I tracked the swan while it was moving across the water trying to keep the swan in the middle of the frame. I chose black and white for this shot because I knew the contrast would work well with the white of the swan and the darkness of the murky water.

Please head over to Leanne’s blog to check out all the other participants.
