May Photo A Day Round Up

I thought I better share these pictures before the month ends. May was quite a fun month for the Project; I got to take the pictures to a Portfolio review and got some really good advice and feedback. Some of the feedback really got me thinking in June, but that is a story for another month. I would say the images were well received with many of the reviewers like the concept of the project but all agreed that this was like a start of something bigger. I have with their advice come to the conclusion that this 365 project  is really like a sketch book of images documenting a year, which is a feat in itself. When the project finishes in the next few months it will be good to come back and choose the best images and rephotograph them; pending more time taking and composing the pictures, with better equipment and lighting to make the images come alive and pop more. This will also allow me to really organize the project and make the images flow a bit more.

All were photographed with a Canon G10 using a combination of on camera flash, natural light and lamps. 90% of editing took place in Lightroom, if Photoshop was used it was usually for combining exposures. If you wish to follow the daily posts of this self imposed challenge you can on Instagram and you can see previous months here. Let me know your thoughts of May’s pictures in the comment box below.
