Sunset on Another Memory

Last weekend we decided to take a spontaneous long weekend away. We first went to my mother-in-laws to make base camp and then made day trips out in the scorching heat. It has been about 37 degrees celcius in the day and 20 at night, no respite for the living. It was great to have sometime away from the internet and everyday life. I do know that I have missed some comments and I will catch up on them asap.

This is one the pictures I took at the weekend as the sun was on its way to the horizon.
The Question is, can you guess where it was taken?

  1. We’ve been doing this almost every weekend since I first got re-involved in photography. We started taking spontaneous trips but now we have a general idea where we’re headed but not what we’ll see. This past weekend we traveled the old Route 66 (don’t know if others outside of the US know of it) leaving our house at 11 am Saturday and getting back at just before 10 pm. I think we slept most of Sunday! 🙂 Problem is, we never get classic shots like yours. Beautiful!

  2. Hope you’ve had a great time. It’s wonderful to get away from the everyday for a while. Love the image, the light, the architecture. Wonderful!
We do days trips some weekends too. It’s fun to explore.. and with the camera 😃
